The Frazer & Jones Company is one of the largest Ductile/Malleable foundries in the country. The present facility covers almost 210,000 square feet and currently employs 130 people. The facility has complete in-house manufacturing, heat-treating and quality control capabilities.

Not only do we consistently manufacture Ductile/Malleable components of the highest quality, we also have the advanced technology in place to verify the quality. The foundry is completely computerized: All administration, production control, manufacturing systems, and engineering including CAD/CAM systems.

Engineering Assistance

We can provide design assistance to avoid unnecessary cost and production delays.

Pattern making

Experienced craftsmen are available to create quality custom patterns and repair existing patterns.

Melting System

Three ASEA/Brown Boveri medium frequency induction furnaces. Precise control of raw materials, chemistry and temperature yields a high quality product.

Laboratory

Chemical analysis, microstructure, BHN and Rockwell Hardness, X-Ray, and Dye Penetrant.

Annealing Facilities

Both Batch and Continuous Annealing.

Molding

Two Mark IV Disamatic molding machines, and two automatic ASEA pouring units are capable of producing an average of 400,000 castings daily weighing from ounces to eight pounds. The supporting sand system is fully automated starting with the receipt of raw materials by rail and subsequent integration in the molding and coremaking production lines. Control of all systems and equipment throughout the plant is with Allen Bradley programmable controls. Systems are integrated for monitoring with PC's and accompanying data recorders and printers.

Core making

Using efficient, automated core making processes, Frazer & Jones has the capacity to produce thousands of high quality cores daily. A total of 40% of our castings are cored.
